The Origin Story of
The Promise Land
The Promise Land was born in the heart of Our Grantor, The Pretzel Maker. Everyone who is a Practitioner of BDSM or somehow connected to the Lifestyle in general knows that it is something that is within You from the very beginning. When You recognize it inside of Yourself, You logically seek out Others or are drawn to Them, because as people We All seek community in some form or other. So, Our Grantor, The Pretzel Maker, sought community and found it, but He also found hurt, betrayal, and sometimes abuse. Rather than leave this world that He knew He belonged to He decided to create a new one where no one would ever be hurt again if They chose to enter the Lifestyle. The Promise Land is that world.
Mission Statement
We are a non-profit Lifestyle, Kink, BDSM, and Fetish organization Who's goal is the healing of Those who have been hurt in the Lifestyle, and the prevention of hurt to Those who wish to enter into it. We will accomplish this end by providing education and resources so that Practitioners and Hopefuls, alike, may make decisions in this sacred space safely, in good faith, and with FULL disclosure.
Vision
The Promise Land serves LOVE, which means We serve All Who Love and are Loved. We provide EDUCATION, HEALING, SELF-ACTUALIZATION, and PEACE. The Promise Land is where Those Who make and honor Their promises reside, "Therefore love moderately: long love doth so. Too swift arrives as tardy as too slow."
